This new education era represents a challenge for students as well as for teachers. These times are the most challenging education has ever seen.
Why is it so challenging? I will briefly describe only two aspects in this first post. I hope you enjoy it.
Truth # 1:
- Teachers are working more: Teachers in the past worked A LOT. Now, during this pandemic, work has multipled to the extend that a teacher is working almost 24/7 and this results in exhausted teachers trying to deal with multiple challenges such as meeting deadlines, provide quality education, dealing with students. parents, and more.
Truth # 2:
- Virtual Education is not for everybody: As much as we would like to think that everybody can accomodate to virtual education, the truth is that it is not possible. There are certain skills, that I will go over in another post, that are required in virtual education. These skills go beyond learning a topic and providing learning evidences.
Education during these times is not easy, but we ought to make the best out of it.
